Anonymous asked: Hi Sheree! I am so inspired by you and your amazing journey. I am on my own weight loss journey but I am a little stuck. I was reading your blog and I am confused about what my activity level is. I go to work and school 6 days out oc the week. I try to go go the gym about an hour or so 4 or 5 days out of the week. Currently, I am keeping my caloric intake around 1600 to 1900 but I feel like thats way too much and I am not seeing the scale drop. Any ideas? Thank you! -Ashley
Check your EFFORT
Exercise: how intense are your workouts? Has your body gotten stronger so you need to push it more? 45 minutes on the elliptical at a moderate pace will not show results if that is all you do. Find ways to kick up your fitness, try adding a cycling class to your weekly schedule or try a new workout program either at your gym or in-home (like beachbody workouts)
Food: how’s your eating? Have you been having treats more often? A treat here and there will not hold you back, but a here-and-there treat 2-3 times a day….Can add up when you’re trying to lose. So check your eating. Make sure you’re eating enough if the right foods and not spending too much time with the processed foods.
Focus: are you actively engaging in reaching your goals? You can’t just go through the motions. You need to move with a purpose and chase your dreams. Not just sit there and hope they get close enough for you to grab them. Chase them!
Organization: are you setting yourself up for success by organizing your foods and exercise plans? Create stick-to-shopping lists and meal menus for the week can help you stay strong when cravings hit. And having scheduled workouts can keep you accountable when your bed is looking really good!
Rest: how’s you sleep and are you including rest days into your workout schedule. When your body, you’re cranky and crave unhealthy foods. Sleep keeps your focused and energized and will help you reach your goals. Rest days also help your muscles repair and helps to prevent injury.
Trust: are you being honest with yourself? Are there areas that maybe you’re not being so honest about?? Search into that. Also, trust the process! If you work hard and eat right you WILL see results. Be patient and check your EFFORT.
